Here is a basic outline of the committees:
- Neighborhood Committee: A neighborhood competition to stimulate neighborhood volunteerism, showcase positive things about our neighborhoods and boost neighborhood pride. We will also utilize technology like Nextdoor to help neighborhood activists reach more people in their community and organize on a grassroots level.
- Education/Community Service Committee: In 2015 this committee will focus on supporting schools and students in the City of Syracuse that will greatly benefit from our fundraising and volunteerism. Activities may include adopting a school in the city school district, raising awareness and raising funds for that school and other activities.
- Pro-Syracuse Committee: Proactively retaining and attracting talented people to the greater Syracuse area. We will work with colleges and universities in Syracuse to retain educated young people to the workforce. We will also partner with local employers to actively support their efforts to retain and attract talent.
- Marketing/Development Committee: Raise funds and raise awareness of Believe in Syracuse. Working to make Believe in Syracuse a more sustainable organization and promoting our message to the Greater Syracuse community. This committee actively support and raise awareness of the 3 other committees and their operations.
