Believe In Syracuse continues to shine a spotlight on all the great things happening in our city, and there is a lot to do because improvements are happening all over the place!
Did you know that $15 million have been raised and set aside to make Syracuse a better place to live? No waiting necessary, construction is already under way in the connective corridor.
If you are not familiar with the connective corridor, it is that area along East Genesee Street to Townsend Street, and along Fayette Street to the Warehouse in Armory Square that connects the Syracuse University campus to the rest of downtown.
This small but important area of the city has already undergone a $50 million dollar renovation, and construction for $15 million dollars worth of add-ons began in early November.
When civic minded organizations raise that kind of money just to bring us all a little closer together and make our city a better place to live it calls for a major celebration, and Believe In Syracuse played its part holding a social/networking night a Dolce Vita, located on East Genesee St, smack in the middle of the connective corridor.
Two speakers from Syracuse University came to share everything connective corridor related, and celebrate the progress made as well as the progress yet to come. Part of this, included filling us all in on their Zipfest, which (if you didn't attend) was a third taste of Syracuse featuring all the best local food trucks, a third celebration of the beautifully renovated connective corridor, and a third free zip line rides!
After the exciting speech, Believe In Syracuse members filled out love letters to the city on Syracuse post cards, and had a lot of fun conversations, food and drinks.
This Thursday, November 14th, will be a special day as Believe in Syracuse takes its show on the road (at least a short distance) for the first time as we head to Hafner's in Liverpool. Hafners is a fun place with good food and a great drink selection, and Believe in Syracuse has decided to hold a networking night there in conjunction with the WBOC. In case you don't know, WBOC stands for Women, Business, Opportunities, Connections, and it is an influential organization dedicated to advancing the status of women in the workplace. So, if you want to do some networking, and think women might help your business (and what business can't be helped by 50% of the population?) stop by Hafter's on Thursday the 14th anytime after 6pm, and find out what your fellow believers have to say. Click here and RSVP on or website and you can also click here and RSVP on Facebook or at the links below.
