TODAY is the day and we're so excited about our Believe in Syracuse Networking Night in Hanover Square. Watch the video on the right of NewsChannel 9 coverage of our event and what is happening in Hanover Square and then Click Here and then RSVP to join us. Yesterday I spoke with one of the people who own Elbow Room Tavern and Anthony's Pasta Bar. He described in detail how big of a hit they are taking because of the construction pictured on the right and below. He said that he has had to cut his employees hours and close early. The night of the downtown tree lighting is usually one of their biggest nights of the year. In years past they have had 65 customers come in for dinner and this year they only had 10. In every number he could track they are doing half as much business right now as they were last year at this time if not less. Despite all of this they are doing a lot to accommodate us - even providing us with free food for our networking night. Let's show the businesses of the first commercial district in Syracuse that the community is behind them and we're in this together. Click Here and RSVP or signup on Facebook. Don't worry - there is still plenty of parking in nearby lots, on Erie Blvd and on Water Street. Check out the below photo of Elbow Room and below that a map of the area around Hanover Square. See you TONIGHT! Wednesday 12/4 at 6PM at Elbow Room! | |
