Now in 2015 we have a free internet tool called Nextdoor that allows those neighbors who care about their community to communicate on a free, private social network for their own neighborhood. This empowers all residents to organize neighborhood cleanups, stay informed about issues like crime and public safety and even help find lost pets.
I live in Eastwood and my neighbors on Nextdoor have been wanting to get together for some time now. We also want to invite all Central New Yorkers who care about their neighborhood to come, buy a sandwich at Brooklyn Pickle and learn about Nextdoor. We're meeting Tuesday 1/13 at 6PM.
