The big news is we have a new speaker who will presenting to us about the cleanup from 6:45-7:15PM! We are so excited to announce that John McAuliffe, the Syracuse Program Director in charge of the Onondaga Lake Cleanup will be presenting to us! Click Here for more info or if you'd like to RSVP.
Outside that presentation it will be open networking, folks can enjoy light refreshments. The event is 100% free and open to everyone, so come on down and bring a friend if you can.
If you are coming from the city of Syracuse or on 690 coming from the east, take 690 West to the Fairgrounds exit and immediately take a right at the end of the off-ramp from the highway and the visitor center is right there on the lake. John is Honeywell's Syracuse Program Director with responsibility for Honeywell activities being conducted for Onondaga Lake and associated sites and former Allied Signal properties. Special interests include the areas of environmental stewardship, and green remediation.
John is a lifelong resident of Central New York with over 25 years experience in environmental remediation and construction. He began his career as an Environmental Engineer with the consulting firm of O’Brien & Gere in Syracuse, NY. Subsequently, he was with Parsons in Liverpool, NY, for 17 years as a Project Manager and Vice President and NY Operations Manager. He has been with Honeywell for over 10 years. He is a Registered Professional Engineer with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University.
